Alongside my board and advisory work, I write about leadership, resilience, and decision making under pressure.
My early thinking was shaped by engineering and aviation: structured analysis, disciplined preparation, clear accountability. The creative work came later. The underlying approach hasn't changed. Practical thinking, applied to real situations.
My writing draws on professional experience and personal adversity in roughly equal measure, including serious illness and a business that went under. Both taught me more about risk, recovery, and sustained performance than any framework ever did on its own.
I don't write theory for its own sake. Each book is built to be used, clear frameworks for people navigating uncertainty, a loss of confidence, organisational change, or a transition of their own. My most recent book turns that same instinct on itself, a look at what happens when the frameworks start writing themselves.
Titles below link to Amazon, available in Kindle and paperback, with selected titles also in audio.
I'm still writing, still developing new material, alongside the advisory work that keeps it honest.
Authentically AI
Authentically AI is a satirical memoir of writing a leadership book with an AI that quietly took over the cover, the subtitle, the acronym, and eventually the author's own biography. Built around the same instinct that runs through the rest of this list, practical thinking applied to real situations, it turns that instinct on thought leadership itself, delivering a very funny, uncomfortably accurate look at how easily conviction gets manufactured rather than earned.
